DEPTFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Grubhub driver accused of stealing a donation jar from a South Jersey business has returned the money, police said.

The incident happened Friday at Compass Self Storage in Deptford Township. Employees reviewed surveillance video after noticing the jar, which was collecting money for cancer research, was missing.

Video shows the driver arriving in a burgundy Buick, delivering an order, and taking a photo to confirm the drop-off. Investigators said he then noticed the donation jar, picked it up, and left the business.

Police said the jar contained about $98.

After the story aired on Action News on Monday, authorities said the driver returned the money.

Investigators said he will still face theft charges.
