"I think it's important to beautify a space. No matter if it's the back of a building or a bridge, adding artwork to an area is really important," said muralist, Sarah Fogg.
Fogg teamed up with students at Hatboro-Horsham High School to create this project, all supported by their local Rotary Club.
"It was really fun for them to have people cheer for them out the car windows, and it's something that the students will pass by years from now and know that they were a part of making their town more beautiful," said Leah Ellert Micikas, Art Teacher at Hatboro-Horsham High School.
Inside the letters that spell out "Hatboro," are illustrations of significant places in the town's history.
"We considered all the changes that are happening in Hatboro right now. We thought we could make a mark by beautifying the space. Having this mural to welcome newcomers to the area, welcome new businesses, and also share Hatboro's identity," said Barbara Rudakevych, Past President of the Rotary Club of Hatboro.
