NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (WPVI) -- At least seven people were injured in a chemical spill in North Brunswick, New Jersey, on Thursday morning.

The North Brunswick Police say that what appears to be a chlorine leak occurred at the North Brunswick Shopping Center.

There are no road closures, but people are being asked to stay away from the center, specifically the LA Fitness, while emergency services operate.

Four of the seven people injured were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

It's not yet clear what caused the chemical to leak.

Clean up of the spill and an investigation are both underway.
