COATESVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- The Hungry Pilot is located at the Chester County Airport, literally. The restaurant-bar offers up-close views of the runway, and is visited by travelers and locals alike.
The setting is a unique way to enjoy menu items that include everything from soup and sandwiches, to burgers and brews.
The general manager -- and first-time restaurateur -- Lucas McMahon owns the business with his family, who went in together to open it in 2024. Between Lucas' father Bob and his wife Katie, to Lucas' brother and sister-in law, Bruce and Shannon, someone from the family is always on hand.
They are also building community with regular nights for live music, bingo, and trivia, as well as special events.
