This comes as the team formally annouced massive deal on Monday.
While the team did not disclose the terms of the deal, per team policy, ESPN reported that James signed a two-year, $8 million deal with a player option.
Now, the basketball superstar's longtime agent, Rich Paul, is providing new insight into the decision on his "Game Over" podcast.
"I'm seeing the emotional rollercoaster every day," Paul said.

Paul says it was 1 a.m. on Friday when King James knew it would be the 76ers, and reveals it was the team's recent trade to get another NBA champion --- Jalen Brown --that tipped the scale.
"Ultimately, Philadelphia makes a move and boom, now you got Jalen Brown. Now -- hold on --- now wait a minute now. This looks a lot different, right?" Paul said.
"I cannot wait to see LeBron alongside Jaylen Brown, VJ Edgecombe, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and our talented roster as we work to deliver a championship for Philly," said Philadelphia 76ers Managing Partner Josh Harris.
Other teams in the final four running were former teams Cleveland and Miami, as well as what would've been a brand new team for him: the Golden State Warriors.
"It was just, like, you can see from the end of the season the emotional attachments and how hard it is to go away from a Miami and go away from a Cleveland, and who wouldn't wanna play with Steph Curry and Draymond Green."
LeBron wrote on X that "this is my last decision," adding "I still want to compete, to win and to have a chance at the feeling of winning another championship."
"There is no doubt LeBron is one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball and there are no words to measure the impact he'll have on this organization," said Mike Gansey, Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations.

Almost immediately, his No. 23 76ers jersey sold out. And preseason ticket interest instantly spiked.
The four-time NBA champion is already considered the greatest of all time by many.
He's scored the most regular-season points in NBA history and holds the record for most seasons played -- a record he'll now extend as a Sixer.
