Turns out, in Philly, you can have it all - a James Beard winning meal at Kalaya in Fishtown, and a little break, thanks to the now viral kindness of the chef owner.
This TikTok video is going viral, with Jenna Bustamante writing: "While we were eating, the owner offered to take our son around for a little walk around so my husband and I could actually eat!"
"I had no idea that my quick, nine-second TikTok video was going to hit almost a million views," Bustamante says. "I'm shocked."
In the video, Kalaya owner, celebrated chef Nok Suntaronon, is seen smiling, happily taking cute little Sonny for a stroll around the restaurant.
"He is so happy, and he is just yummy," Suntaronon says.
Suntaronon happens to own one of Philly's hottest restaurants as Kalaya is one of the hardest reservations to get.
Every parent who has brought their child to a nice dinner collectively feels the weight of this moment.
"In America, sometimes people don't bring babies to restaurants," Suntaronon says.
Adding, "Having a baby in the restaurant makes my heart so happy. It's something that always puts a smile my on my face. The point is, parents should still live their lives. It's so hard to be a parent and you should not be stuck at home with babies all the time without having a chance to take them out to a good restaurant."
