PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Eagles legend Ron Jaworski and his foundation held a back to school pep rally in Strawberry Mansion on Monday.
Children of the Philadelphia Police Athletic League received free backpacks, laptops and supplies to help make the upcoming school year a success.
"We all know the financial burden that comes with starting a new school year. September can be a hard month for so many families in our area, especially for our underserved communities," says Jaworski.
The project is part of the Jaws Youth Playbook. the foundation of Jaworski and his wife, Liz.
The non-profit has been working to improve the overall health and wellness of at-risk youth in the Greater Philadelphia Region for over 41 years.
