MAYS LANDING, N.J. (WPVI) -- Two people were killed Saturday morning in a head-on collision involving a stolen vehicle in Hamilton Township, authorities said.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. near Route 50 and Third Street, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. The victims' names have not been released, pending family notification.
Investigators determined that a stolen vehicle caused the crash. One adult and three juveniles inside that vehicle have been charged based on the initial findings, prosecutors said. Officials did not specify the charges or the circumstances leading up to the collision.
The investigation is ongoing and is being handled jointly by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and the Hamilton Township Police Department. Authorities said additional charges or information will be released at a later time.
