Lancaster County investor facing charges related to $770M Ponzi scheme

LANCASTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Lancaster County investor is facing charges related to a $770 million Ponzi scheme.

The FBI says Daryl Heller stole from 2,700 investors, concentrated in Lancaster County, but also across the United States.

The alleged scam involved misrepresented revenue from his network of ATMs.

The federal Securities and Exchange Commission also filed a civil fraud complaint against Heller and his companies in Philadelphia federal court.
