Action News has been told it is centered on what officials described as a "serious domestic incident."
Bucks County detectives responded to a home in the 1300 block of Wood Street near Taylor Street Thursday morning.
"I'm a nervous wreck. My insides are jumping. Nothing ever happens around here," said neighbor Irene Hauser. "The people that this is all about, I guess, are sweet people."
Families who live near the house on Wood Street are worried for the couple who they say lives inside, as they wait for answers.
There are a lot that is unknown at this time as Bucks County detectives and Bristol Borough police work the scene.
Some residents said they saw an ambulance at around 7 a.m., and then police arrived and closed off the street.
With the crime scene unit on scene, neighbors say the home is the last place they would've thought to have seen this type of activity.
"It's just a very sad situation," said neighbor Karen Samsel. "Prayers and thoughts are with them because they are a good family."
Investigators tell Action News that they are working on determining what information can be released as this investigation continues.
However, officials did say there is no threat to the public.
