Local college student looking to build real-life Batsuit

Thursday, November 13, 2014
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia University industrial design student has set up a campaign to raise money to build a real Batman Batsuit.

Jackson Gordon is hoping to raise $1,000 through a new Kickstarter campaign, and he's about halfway there.

He says the suit will be a "fully functioning replication."

His campaign is called: Batman: Real Combat Armor.

He needs the funds for 3D printing, mold-making and expensive Gotham approved fabrics.

He says this will not be a costume, but a fully functioning replication of what a person would want in a modern type combat suit.
