PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- As final preparations are underway for this year's 6abc Dunkin' Thanksgiving Day Parade, we are taking a look back at what this beloved tradition looked like 46 years ago.
In November 1979, America's oldest Thanksgiving Day parade marched down the Ben Franklin Parkway on a cold, but dry day.
Families packed the sidewalks, and the city came together in a spirit of unity, just as they continue to do today.
