PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two police officers were injured Wednesday night during a traffic stop that led to a barricade situation in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section.

Paul Reid, 28, is now in custody.

A police officer was hurt Wednesday night during a traffic stop that led to a barricade situation in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section.

Police say they tried stopping Reid around 1 a.m. in the 1700 block of Plymouth Street, after they say he blew through two stop signs on 19th Street.

When officers pulled Reid over, he did not turn over his documentation and instead began revving the engine.

He then sped off, hitting both officers and dragging one of them a short distance.

Reid then barricaded himself inside a home on the 7400 block of Andrews Avenue.

He was taken into custody about 20 minutes later and is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault.

One of the officers had some scrapes on his arm. Both are expected to be okay.
