Police say it happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday near Johnston Drive and Linden Street.
Detectives say a black sedan cut between two vehicles stopped at a red light.
That's when they say 36-year-old Jaime Paramo-Zamudio got out of one of those vehicles with a gun.
When the black sedan tried driving off, police say he allegedly fired at the vehicle.
A 42-year-old woman and her juvenile son inside.
A bullet shattered the front windshield.
The woman suffered minor injuries from the broken glass.
Paramo-Zamudio was later arrested.
