NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is facing DUI charges after crashing into a home in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened around 7:10 p.m. Wednesday along the 6400 block of Algon Avenue near Hellerman Street.

Police say a 33-year-old man was driving a 2012 Nissan at a high rate of speed when he lost control, crossed a lawn and crashed into the base of the home.
The home, which was unoccupied at the time, sustained cracks at the base. L&I responded to determine the extent of the damage.

The driver, who suffered minor injuries, scrapes and bruises, was arrested and is being charged with DUI.
