Officers responded to the intersection of Frank Young Avenue and 5th Street in Chester just before 5 p.m.
Investigators say one man was shot, and was taken to the hospital in critical ocndition.
Authorities say they located a black sedan with multiple bullet holes in the windshield about two miles away on East 24th Street.
They say the vehicle is connected to the shooting.
So far, no arrests have been made.
The investigation remains ongoing.
