Man killed at scene of car meet in Feltonville

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting in the Feltonville section of the city.

It happened around 1:20 a.m. Sunday on the 4300 block of Rising Sun Avenue.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot at the scene of a car meet.

Upon arrival, they found a 22-year-old man in a vacant lot, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

"They entered the lot, vehicles were scrambling around and they located a male face down on the ground. The officers quickly placed the male in their vehicle, transported him to Temple Hospital. Where, unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased at 1:41 a.m.," says Captain Louis Higginson.



Witnesses told police an argument led to the shooting.

So far, no arrests have been made.
