PAULSBORO, N.J. (WPVI) -- A man is dead after being shot in Paulsboro, Gloucester County.
Police say gunfire erupted before 12 a.m. Monday at a house near West Broad and Pine streets.

Officers arrived to find the victim, 24-year-old John Gardner suffering from gunshot wounds.
Medics rushed him to Inspiria Hospital in Woodbury.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are working to determine who shot the man and why.
