It happened just before 10 p.m. at 13th and Locust streets in the Gayborhood section.
Police say a 22-year-old man was shot in the arm. He was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, the victim told police he was minding his own business when he was shot while standing on the corner.
Small said the crime was caught on camera.
"We have police real-time crime cameras that did record part of the incident. We also found some private cameras in the area. Hopefully, those cameras recorded additional angles that can help us with this shooting investigation," he said.
Two shell casings were found at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
