It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 4000 block of the Boulevard in Philadelphia's Crescentville section.
Police tell Action News that two men were exchanging information after a crash.
But moments later, there was gunfire.
A 37-year-old man was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Police have taken a person into custody in connection with the shooting.
