KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A man was shot early Sunday morning while trying to do a good deed.
The shooting happened just before 5:30 a.m. at Emerald and Atlantic streets in Kensington.

Police say they found the 47 year old man on Frankford Avenue.
He told them he was trying to stop a woman from being robbed when we was shot in the chest.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
