Man suffers burns in Parkside fire

PARKSIDE (WPVI) -- A man is hospitalized following a fire in the Parkside section of Philadelphia.

The blaze broke out at 1:30 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of North 54th Street.

A 59-year-old victim suffered burns to his face and arms.

Fire officials tell Action News the man was taken to an area hospital with stable vital signs.

Investigators are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
