New Castle, Del. (WPVI) -- A person in a wheelchair who was hit by a pickup truck in New Castle, Delaware, has died.
It happened Monday afternoon at the intersection of Route 273 and Pleasant Place.
The impact of the collision threw the victim from the wheelchair. That person has been identified as 63-year-old William Collins.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Delaware State Police say the driver who hit Collins had a green light, and Collins entered the path of the vehicle.
