It will feature fan favorites from hit Broadway shows like "Hamilton," and "In the Heights," Disney's "Moana," and beyond.
It's the music of Miranda on stage, for the first time, with a symphony.
Mandy Gonzalez is pairing up with our beloved Philly POPS for a show called "Everything I Know."
She was the one who pitched the orchestra idea to Miranda.
"I said, 'It's your time to be with these symphonies, and for audiences to come and just get to hear your beautiful music played by these incredible orchestras. You don't get to hear all of that in a theater," she said.
Gonzalez is no stranger to the music and stylings of Miranda
She was Angelica Schuyler in "Hamilton" on Broadway, and she originated the role of Nina Rosario in the Off-Broadway and Broadway productions of the musical "In the Heights."
She says Miranda saw the show and was just floored to hear his music fill the space in a way that's never been done before.
"That allowed me to take a breath and breathe," she says. "It also allowed me to hit the stage and really just give everything that I could. I felt like I was giving him this a little bit of a gift, to hear his music in this way. What do you give somebody that has given so much? That is the biggest joy."
Mandy Gonzalez and the Philly Pops present "Everything I Know: Mandy Gonzalez Sings Lin-Manuel Miranda" on April 25 at 3 p.m. at the Kimmel Center's Marian Anderson Hall.
