"The school was closed to staff and students due to an on-campus investigation led by the Camden County Police Department in connection with this tragic loss," said the school's CEO, Joel Boyd, in a statement.
Students who are able to walk home will be dismissed accordingly, and transportation is being arranged for students who require a ride, officials said.
"We understand this news is difficult to process, and we want to assure you that safety is a top priority. At this time, police consider it a nonsuspicious death and their investigation is ongoing," added Boyd.
The school, located at 800 Erie Street, was expected to reopen Thursday.
Officials have not identified the victim.
