VOORHEES, N.J. (WPVI) -- Local meat cutters showed off their slicing skills Tuesday in Voorhees.
15 competitors from New Jersey and Pennsylvania took part in the first round of the qualifier Meat Cutting Challenge.

Each participant got between 25 and 30 pounds of beef, consisting of one sirloin, one filet and one ribeye to cut.
All this was done at a chilly 38 degrees on the ice at the Flyers Skate Zone.

The two winners here advance to the semi-finals in the national competition in Orlando, Florida.
The person crowned "Meat Cutter of the Year" will get the grand prize of $20,000 dollars.
