EWING TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A Mercer County family was given the gift of a new roof Thursday, thanks to a hometown business and Habitat for Humanity.
The Johnson family in Ewing was chosen after Unique Roofing and Restoration reached out to Habitat to help identify a family in need of help.
Crews replaced the family's roof Thursday, free of charge and just in time for the holidays.
"It's like a dream come true. It just came at a great time when I really needed it," said homeowner Marcus Johnson. "I love my home. I've been here since I was a child, and I want to keep my home."
Johnson says making repairs on his home is tough because he's disabled, but he's thankful that good people are willing to help.
