Multi-vehicle crash on I-95 SB causes major delays near Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia

A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 Wednesday morning is blocking southbound lanes in Northeast Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 caused major delays for drivers in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday morning.

The crash happened just after 6 a.m. near Cottman Avenue on I-95.

All lanes were blocked between Exit 30: Cottman Ave./Rhawn St. and Exit 26:Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Ave, but have since been reopened.

Some drivers saw delays upward of two hours.

Some drivers waited in traffic for more than 2 hours on Wednesday after a crash on I-95 SB.

Traffic Reporter Matt Pellman suggested drivers use some secondary roads, like Torresdale or Aramingo avenues.
