New Jersey businesses are getting a big boost ahead of the FIFA World Cup next month.

Governor Mikie Sherrill signed a proclamation on Monday, stating that municipalities will have the option to temporarily adjust their alcohol hours-of-sale ordinances.

That would allow them to keep bars open later during the 39-day tournament.

Of course, the final game will be held in North Jersey.

The move is aligned with an ordinance in Philadelphia, allowing bars with proper permits to stay open until 4 a.m.
