It is now illegal to sell energy drinks on school grounds in Delaware.
The new law went into effect on Tuesday when it was signed by Governor Matt Meyer.
Studies have found that children drinking caffeinated drinks can lead to poor health outcomes.
The legislation prohibits the sale of energy drinks on public middle and high school campuses during school hours or school events.
