PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A new scholarship will help pay tuition for Temple University students who parents work in public safety.

Temple University announced the new partnership on Friday in North Philadelphia. It will provide a scholarship for up to 30 students who come from families in police and fire.

They will get up to $10,000 a year, along with mentorship and other resources.

The Neubauer Family Foundation helped make this possible. School officials say the initiative will help advance education opportunities and economic mobility.
