PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The NRG energy company is helping the surrounding community.
Employees volunteered their time and effort on Wednesday, as part of NRG's 19th annual PositiveNRG Impact Week.
Workers teamed up with food rescue organization Sharing Excess to unload and sort pallets of donated food, including fresh produce.
The food will be distributed to communities in need.
The volunteer work took place at Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market in Southwest Philadelphia.
