Delaware pantry awarded $20K grant to battle food insecurity

BEAR, De. (WPVI) -- Delaware farmers and independent grocers received grants Wednesday to help keep feeding at-risk communities.

The Pantry of Hope at Victorious Life Church in Bear, Delaware, is one of dozens of recipients of the Grocery Initiative and First State Food System grants.

This round of funding had 28 awardees. A total of $712,500 was awarded, with grants ranging from $12,000 to $65,000.

The Pantry of Hope at Victorious Life Church was awarded $20,000 for its efforts.
