PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Forget the longstanding debate over wit or witout, a South Philadelphia cheesesteak institution is rolling out a new twist on its namesake.

Pat's King of Steaks is now offering what it calls a "new school" cheesesteak.

Typically, the 96-year-old South Philadelphia staple layers ribeye steak, cheese and onions separately, and then serves them on a non-seeded roll.

But now, they are combining all the classic ingredients and putting them on a seeded Aversa's Italian Bakery roll.

The cheesesteak shop says it's what customers have been asking for.

However, it's only set to last for a couple of weeks, so get it while it's hot.
