Pedestrian struck, killed in Philadelphia's East Oak Lane section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday in Philadelphia's East Oak Lane section.

The woman was struck by a white Sprinter van near North 5th Street and Chelten Avenue just before 7 a.m., according to police.



The victim was transported by medical personnel to Einstein Medical Center, where she later died.

Chopper 6 was over the scene, where a white MB Hardwood Floor van could be seen.



Police are investigating.

Action News has reached out to MB Hardwood Floor but have not heard back.
