LOWER MERION TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- The battle over gas-powered leaf blowers may not be over despite an ordinance that banned them last year.
Wednesday the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners passed exemptions, allowing the use of wheeled, gas-powered equipment.
The commissioners say tonight's amendments make the original legislation passed in November clearer.
The first phase of a seasonal ban of gas-powered leaf blowers goes into effect on June 1st, with a full ban by 2029.
