PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A mechanic who operated in Montgomery County and Philadelphia has been arrested for allegedly issuing counterfeit inspection stickers.
Fares Farhat faces more than 200 charges.
State Police say the counterfeit stickers were found on commercial vehicles that had dangerous issues, including separating brake pads, and other conditions that would have made them inoperable under Pennsylvania and federal law.
Investigators say Farhat accepted nearly $300,000 in return.
