SCRANTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- It was an emotional show of support for a Pennsylvania State trooper who was shot twice in the chest while on duty.

Trooper Joseph Perechinsky was left fighting for his life after a gunman opened fire in Susquehanna County last week.

Fellow troopers lined the walkway as he was released from the hospital in Scranton on Tuesday.

When Perechinsky arrived back to his hometown of Mayfield, the mayor presented him with a key to the borough.
