PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Jalen Carter to a historic contract extension, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday.

The $152 million extension is worth up to $160 million, including $106 million guaranteed, his agents told Schefter.

The extension makes him the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history, ESPN reports.

"JC is here to stay!" the Eagles wrote in a social media post.
