The New Year's Eve show they're hosting will feature musical fireworks with a dash of Hollywood flair.
Hollywood conductor Anthony Parnther is famous for his work on blockbuster projects from Oppenheimer, to Avatar: The Way of Water to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Encanto and Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
And on New Year's Eve, he's bringing some of the biggest and best Hollywood scores to life with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
"We are literally, and figuratively, rolling out the red carpet for this storied occasion," says Parnther. "We want everybody to get gussied up and bring their bring their Hollywood best to our concert hall, and we're going to have a blast that evening."
It's all happening at the Kimmel Center's Marian Anderson Hall.
The concert starts at 7 p.m.
Details can be found on the Philadelphia Orchestra's website.
Then, from January 2nd to the 4th, The Philadelphia Orchestra is bringing Disney's "Fantasia in Concert" to the stage.
Many people may not know Philadelphia's connection to the storied Disney classic.
"The script is based on the music and the storytelling was generated by Walt Disney, Leopold Stokowski and The Philadelphia Orchestra," explains Juliette Kang, First Associate Concertmaster for The Philadelphia Orchestra.
"That's our orchestra on its soundtrack. The music was recorded and created in the Academy of Music on Broad Street. That's part of our DNA, and we're so proud of it."
