PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A pizza delivery driver who was lured to a vacant home and killed last week has now been identified.

Police say 28-year-old Anshul Kuncha had just made a delivery at the Raymond Rosen homes on the 2300 block of Edgley Street on Friday morning when he was shot.

Kuncha worked for Pete's Pizza on Ridge Avenue.

The Indian Consulate in New York released a statement saying they are in touch with Anushul's family and are assisting in any way they can.

Police say Kuncha was found lying on the ground unresponsive, bleeding heavily with a gunshot wound to his head. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

At the scene, police recovered three spent shell casings, just inches away from where the victim was found.

"Which is an indication that the shooter or shooters were standing very, very close to the victim," said Chief Inspector Scott Small with the Philadelphia Police Department.

Inside the vacant apartment, officers found three pizza boxes and a bag, which appeared to be untouched, leading investigators to believe that the victim successfully delivered the items before being shot outside.

Police said surveillance cameras operated by the Philadelphia Housing Authority captured portions of the incident.

While officials say the shooting wasn't caught on camera, they say you can see the delivery driver walking with the boxes while being followed by two people wearing dark clothing. One of the people following the victim appeared to be carrying a dark backpack.

As police work to make arrests, investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them.
