Police were called to the 6300 block of Chew Avenue near East Duval Street just before 1:30 p.m. Monday for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He has been identified as 22-year-old Syree Boyd.
Boyd was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he later died.
So far, no arrests have been made and no weapons have been recovered.
Investigators are still working to figure out what led up to the shooting.
