PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia leaders brought together some of the nation's top voices to discuss violence prevention.
City Council President Kenyatta Johnson hosted a Community Violence Intervention Fireside Chat at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The mayor of Newark, New Jersey took part in Saturday's discussions, along with safety leaders from Philadelphia and Baltimore.
They talked about violence prevention strategies, re-entry services, healthcare and public safety.
The event was part of Gun Violence Prevention Month.
