Fleeing suspect was traveling over 100 mph during Trenton to Bucks County chase: Police

FALLS TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the driver allegedly involved in a chase that started in Trenton, New Jersey, and ended in a crash Monday night in Bucks County.

Investigators say officers were chasing a red BMW, which was believed to be connected to a shooting investigation.

During the pursuit, the car crashed around 8:53 p.m. at Stony Hill Road and Woolston Drive in Falls Township. Inside the unoccupied car, officers found an AR-15-style rifle, according to police.

The driver, identified as Alix Eugene, 26, was later found walking along Lincoln Highway. Police say he was hospitalized for minor injuries from the crash, then released and taken to Bucks County Prison.



According to a criminal complaint, Eugene was driving at speeds over 100 mph during the chase.



Eugene is facing a slew of charges in New Jersey, including eluding resisting arrest and possession of a weapon.
