PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An investigation is underway after human remains of an adult were found Monday evening in a wooded area of Philadelphia, according to police.
The discovery was made around 6:41 p.m. near the intersection of Wissahickon Creek and Germantown Avenue.
Police say that due to the condition of the remains, the individual's race and gender have not yet been determined.
The cause and manner of death are still under investigation.
