The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 6000 block of Allman Street.
Officers arrived to find a 35-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. He died at the scene.
Police say that gunfire also hit a Nissan Maxima several times.
They are working to determine if the vehicle belonged to the victim.
The victim has not been identified.
No word on any arrests or a possible motive.
