PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman was left shaken after a stray bullet narrowly missed her as she was sleeping in North Philadelphia.

"I feel frightened. I cannot sleep," said Natividad Rodriguez. "I thank God."

Police believe the bullet is from an apparent drive-by shooting that happened about a half block away.

A 25-year-old woman was also injured after being shot in the leg. Police say she is an innocent bystander, who was crossing the street at the time.

The shooting happened at Marshall Street and Lehigh Avenue just before 2 a.m.

Police said they found evidence of seven shots from one gun and 10 from a different weapon.

"There were plenty of people out there. We have reports of maybe 25,30 people out there at this time. So in that way, we're fortunate that there weren't more people

injured. But what's a tragedy, to be 25 years old, walking across the street and take a gunshot," says Shooting Investigation Group Captain James Kearney.

One of the bullets went through a second-floor window of a nearby apartment building, where Rodriguez was sleeping at the time, according to police.

The 67-year-old was shaken out of bed by the sound of the bullet that shattered through one of her bedroom windows and out the other.

"It's terrible because you don't have anything to do with that business, and you can get killed for nothing. For no reason at all," said Rodriguez.

After the close call, Rodriguez says she was up all night praying.

"God has covered me. I pray every day. All the time praying because Philadelphia is out of proportion," she added.

The incident was caught on real-time surveillance cameras and police are reviewing the footage to identify the suspect.

The injured woman is at Temple Hospital and is in stable condition.

Police are asking for help in finding the shooters they say drove off in a dark-colored small SUV.
