Police investigating after teen found shot inside North Philadelphia home

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A teenager was shot inside a North Philadelphia home.

Police responded to the 200 block of East Rockland Street around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

A 16-year-old was found in the basement with a gunshot wound to the chest and leg.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital and is in stable condition.

Police say a 15-year-old, who they believe was the shooter, fled the scene.



They believe a group of four friends may have been playing with the gun.

Officers are now trying to find the weapon, and determine whether charges will be filed.
