It happened along the 5700 Block of Chestnut Street around 11:30 p.m. Friday.
When officers arrived to the scene, they found the driver of a Ford Focus dead.
Police say the driver of a Ford Escape that was also involved in the crash left the SUV behind and ran off on foot before officers arrived.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Police are searching for the driver of the Escape.
