EAST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- A man armed with a machete robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, according to police.
The robbery occurred around 6:15 a.m. Sunday on the 6700 block of North 5th Street.
Police say a masked man with a machete in his hand entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.
The machete-wielding bandit made off with an undetermined amount of cash and fled towards Cheltenham.
